I am an artist and PhD scientist. I live and work in Southern California. I study mammalian synthetic biology, most recently in the Bashor Lab.

My artistic process is informed by the natural world. When I interact with the environment, my perception shapes my understanding, creating a unique emotional experience. This experience is filtered through my scientific understanding - where I consider the molecules and organisms that compose the systems I observe- forming new insights, intuition, and memories.

I use mixed media to explore how my scientific understanding of and emotional responses to nature converge.
